What a migration

We all love the waterfowl migration, but the Monarch migration is really something.

It is remarkable that adults can go from southern Manitoba to Mexico in one fall. Even more crazy that the trip north next spring takes 2 or 3 generations with the overwintering adults breeding in Texas first, then that generation makes it to the upper Midwest and the third generation are the ones we see in Canada. Amazing!
