Small trouble

Franklin’s Ground Squirrels look a bit like a Grey Squirrel. Unfortunately, they are omnivores and like duck eggs.

In South Dakota they account for more than half of all the nest predation. On some trap sites we remove more than 400.

They are a major problem for upland nesting ducks.
