Opening morning

Canada Geese were shot out of North Dakota, but rapid recovery started in the 1990’s.

Populations have grown exceptionally – to the point that ND farmer’s number one wildlife complaint is about too many geese.

Accordingly, ND has a special season for resident geese. It started today – with an 8-bird limit.
