GPS Markers Reveal Amazing Movements
We surgically implanted 30 Can hens with GPS transmitters (pricy) and put geolocators (cheap) on those hens to evaluate the accuracy of geolocators.

One hen (not that girl) lost her nest to predators. She traveled about 25 miles north of Minnedosa and moved locally a few days (yellow squiggly lines). Then she flew 275 miles west to Pelican Lake, Saskatchewan stayed 9 days, then flew directly back to the area she left.
