Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
Location: Headquarters Office in Bismarck, ND

Delta’s international headquarters is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. Currently, our dedicated team consists of almost 100 employees, of which about half work within our headquarters office and the other half work remotely throughout the US and Canada. Our organization has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and this is expected to continue. POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department while serving as a key point of contact for employees and applicants. This role focuses on administrative coordination, employee support, and program execution while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollments, employee communications, plan changes, terminations, and invoice reconciliation.
2. Support the employee performance review process by coordinating schedules, distributing materials, tracking completion, and maintaining documentation.
3. Create, distribute, track, and maintain annual employee leave forms for Canada and related records throughout the year.
4. Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, offer documentation, and completion of new hire paperwork.
5. Administer and track the employee anniversary award and recognition program.
6. Maintain accurate, confidential, and well organized personnel files and human resources records.
7. Provide employees and candidates with general information related to HR policies, benefits, compensation, and workplace practices, referring complex or sensitive issues to the Human Resources Manager as appropriate.
8. Serve as backup support for the bi weekly payroll process, including data entry, report generation, and quality checks.
9. Assist with maintaining job descriptions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws.
10. Update and maintain compensation data, reports, and supporting documentation.
11. Process employee HR forms, requests, and documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
12. Coordinate and execute New Hire Orientation programs in collaboration with departments at headquarters.
13. Support the employee committee by assisting with meetings, communications, and employee engagement events.
14. Coordinate workplace safety and compliance initiatives, including CPR training, fire drills, evacuation planning, and related documentation.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Associates degree in a business field and at least two years of professional experience performing human resources related duties.
2. Read, interpret, and enact information and instructions provided in written and oral form.
3. Ability to practice a high level of professional tact, discretion and confidentiality.
4. Must work well with the general public and in a team environment.
5. Must be organized and able to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to respond to change.
7. Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, and other software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen. The employee requires dexterity in using telephone, computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate stairs. The employee must lift and move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position is in an office work environment.
